My Spirit Guide has been a great comfort to me and that is why, when I decided to do a webpage to sell beadwork,I thought I would share with you how I got into the world of jewelry making. It started with a 2nd bout with Breast Cancer back in 2003.
For a time, I could no longer to work in my field of Nursing due to the lymphedema in my primary arm. Looking for something to occupy my time, and to be useful at the same time, I picked up a beading magazine. With my interest piqued, I then signed up for a beading class and the rest, as they say, is history.
I have explored all aspects of beading work and now have started into mounting of precious gemstones and making pendants, bracelets and earrings out of them. Besides making items with the Harley Davidson Bar and Shield logo, I also make breast cancer necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. I have now started making ribbon jewelry for other types of cancer and when I sell any of these Items, I make a donation to either the Susan Komen Foundation for the Breast Cancer Jewelry and to the American Cancer Society for all of the other cancer jewelry sold.
